The New Vehicle Efficiency Standard (NVES) portal is now available, marking an exciting milestone for the NVES Regulator and our regulated entities.
The portal is an online system we have developed for regulated entities (car manufacturers, suppliers or importers who hold a vehicle type approval) to help manage their compliance with the NVES.
In this first release, regulated entities and their authorised users can:
- apply for an NVES Unit Registry account
- see how their fleet is performing against their emissions target
- view NVES data they have entered on the Register of Approved Vehicles.
Additional functions, such as the ability to receive an interim emissions value and any NVES units from February 2026, will be delivered in upcoming system releases and in step with the regulatory cycle.
