The New Vehicle Efficiency Standard Regulator (NVES Regulator) is collecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988(Opens in a new tab/window) and as authorised under the New Vehicle Efficiency Standard Act 2024(Opens in a new tab/window). The NVES Regulator is a regulatory unit within the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sport and the Arts (the department).
The NVES Regulator will use your personal information to help NVES regulated entities to identify entities interested in trading NVES units.
The NVES Regulator will disclose information on the unit trading contact list to other NVES regulated entities for the purposes of trading NVES units.
The NVES Regulator will not otherwise use or disclose your personal information except as authorised by law.
You are not compelled by law to provide your personal information, however if you do not then you cannot access the unit trading contact list and we cannot provide your information to other regulated entities for the purposes of trading units.
The NVES Regulator will store your personal information securely and in accordance with the department’s privacy provision.
